Our Fellow Ayesha Aslam Khan, hailing from Mumbai, Maharashtra, is renowned for her impactful contributions as a social worker. Ayesha is a businesswoman by profession and is also pursuing an LLB. Ayesha draws inspiration from the revolutionary ideals of Bhagat Singh and has always been motivated by her mother as a source of support. she began her full-time commitment to social work in 2017, dedicating herself to improving the lives of Mumbai's Dabbawalas. Her journey in social and political activism reflects a deep commitment to uplifting those in need, both within her community and beyond. Together with her husband, Ayesha co-founded the Daulat Foundation, an organization that played a crucial role during the COVID-19 pandemic in helping the needy. Her work is guided by the principle of SARVA DHARMA SAMBHAV, emphasizing brotherhood and extending help to all, regardless of religious orientation. During the Dharavi Project, Ayesha successfully challenged government actions, preventing the forced eviction of over 600 families. Her commitment to justice and equality continues to empower marginalized communities and amplify the voices of the silenced. Ayesha Aslam Khan’s resilience and dedication to helping people around make her an advocate for change and a beacon of hope for many.
